What date do students need to log in by?
-
Mandatory Online Orientation is due the Wednesday after the course starts

What happens if I don't do the Online Orientation by the due date?

The Online Orientation is somewhat like a check-in or first day of class. If someone does not "show" by doing the online orientation items, I consider the student a "no show" and drop them from the course in order to add students that are waiting to get in.

Are summer sessions less work than the semester course?
-
Summer courses are compressed into shorter time frames. The same amount of material and assignments are in a shorter amount of time.
-
A semester course is 16 weeks in Spring and Fall ~ same course in Summer is 8 weeks.
-
An 8-week course during Spring and Fall is 4-weeks in Summer.
-
So......you will be doing 2 weeks of assignments in one week during the summer courses.
-
If a fast paced course is not your comfort zone -- take the course during Fall or Spring.
-
-
Student Question: I have a vacation planned during the course. Will I be able to make special arrangements to get material early or turn in assignments late?
-
No..... enroll for courses that you will be able to take in the dates they are offered. No special arrangements will be made. Due dates are the same for all students.
